Potassium carbonate (K2CO3)
The active agent in Pureworx is potassium carbonate — an inorganic salt found naturally in wood ash and plant tissue. At high concentration it achieves the alkalinity required for commercial cleaning without needing the corrosive or hazardous co-ingredients traditional cleaners rely on.
pH 12.7 — purposeful alkalinity
The 0–14 pH scale is logarithmic. At 12.7, Pureworx sits in the same functional range as commercial caustic cleaners — but without the corrosive anion that makes those products hazardous. Grease, protein, biofilm, and odour-causing bacteria are all disrupted at this pH range.
Water as the carrier, not solvent
Traditional formulations use petroleum-based solvents as the carrier medium. Pureworx uses water. This is why there are no VOCs, no fumes, no flammability risk, and no residue. At working concentrations, it is safe for food contact and child environments.
