About Pureworx

The people
behind the
chemistry.

Pureworx is an Australian cleaning technology company built around a single conviction — that commercial cleaning should be safer, simpler, and more effective than the industry has delivered.

"Pureworx was not created
in a laboratory looking
for a problem. It was created
in the workplace to solve one."

Pureworx was founded ten years ago by Robert Erskine — a world-renowned Michelin-starred chef with decades of experience in some of the most demanding commercial kitchens on earth. Throughout his career, Robert witnessed the same problems, again and again: too many products, too many risks, too much complexity — and no better outcome for it.

The product he developed is the direct result of that experience. Not a laboratory exercise in chemical engineering, but a practical answer to problems he had lived with professionally for decades.

Two years ago, we acquired Pureworx and brought manufacturing directly under our control. Robert remains actively involved in the business today, continuing to contribute his knowledge, experience, and original vision.

Our story

Created in the
kitchen. Proven
everywhere else.

Robert Erskine didn't set out to build a cleaning company. He set out to solve a problem he had watched unfold across twenty years of professional kitchen management — the extraordinary complexity, cost, and risk embedded in commercial cleaning, and the complete absence of any serious alternative.

The product that became Pureworx took five years to develop, test, and refine before it entered a single commercial environment. When it did, it wasn't as a product pitch. It was as a solution to a problem that operators already knew they had.

Robert remains part of the Pureworx story today. His original vision — that the industry could do far better — is the reason this technology exists, and it continues to shape every decision we make.

2016
Robert Erskine founds Pureworx. Drawing on decades as a Michelin-starred chef, he begins developing a cleaning system built around the real conditions of high-pressure commercial environments.
2016–
2021
Five years of research, development and testing. The formulation is refined across real commercial kitchen conditions before being introduced into any paying account.
2021
Pureworx enters commercial operation. First accounts onboarded in the hospitality and food service sectors. GECA certification and HACCP validation completed.
2024
Current ownership acquires Pureworx and brings manufacturing directly in-house. Robert remains actively involved.

What we stand for

Principles we don't
negotiate on.

01
Performance before everything
A safer, greener product that doesn't clean properly isn't a solution. Pureworx delivers commercial-grade cleaning performance across every application — or we don't claim it does.
02
No hidden risks
Every product we put into an operator's facility has been tested, certified, and documented. If a surface, environment, or application isn't suitable, we say so before the transition, not after.
03
Operators first
We exist to make commercial operations run better. Every decision — from formulation to pricing to support — is made from the perspective of the person who actually runs the facility.
04
Honest science
We don't exaggerate what the chemistry does. Gerald reviews every claim before it's published. If it can't be demonstrated, it doesn't appear on this site or in our documentation.
